November 6. 2019, Wednesday :-  We have often seen in our society that there is always some sort of disturbance, as far as religion, god, or related practices are concerned. The Hindu Rightwing members always remains on active mode and creates a nuisance as soon as something relevant of irrelevant content, which they consider ‘anti-Hindu’ or ‘antinational’ is shown or released online through any medium.

Nowadays, online video streaming platforms are more prevalent than any other medium, and these activists keep a close watch on them. And even in such scenario, Netflix has decided to come up with a new animated series for preschool kids which will show various Hindu deities like Ganesha, Kali, Krishna, and Saraswati, learning at deity day care center.
This will be a 20-episode series, with “Ghee Happy” as its name. All of them will be 11-minute episodes, which will tell that how these gods have to start out from the deity day care called “Ghee Happy”, before they become the inspiring Hindu deities. And the man behind this is an Academy Award and Annie Award nominated director, animator, and illustrator Sanjay Patel. His best-known works include Pixar films such as Monsters Inc., Ratatouille, Cars, Toy Story 2, and The Incredibles I and II.

Patel, who were raised in US, but always hooked on to the reading Indian mythological stories about different deities, when he came across an art book on Indian gods. Being a second generation Indian US, he wasn’t exposed to Indian culture much but had seen images of Hindu gods in worship area, but of course never knew the stories behind them.
Now, he thought that the kids otherwise would not be able to know about this Indian and Asian art, so he decided to introduce kids to gods via this show. It will his own version and not the one, which earlier used to prevail in parent’s generation. The young age kids are tending more towards the devices and there is a TV show in US, “Sesame Street”, which does not show anything about Indian culture.

Through this effort, the families and kids around the globe will get to know more about these inspiring and accessible stories.

Ghee Happy has already joined at the league of Netflix original animated series from all over the world. This includes Indian series and global sensation ‘Mighty Little Bheem’, ’Dragons: Rescue Riders’ from DreamWorks Animation, ‘Dino Girl Gauko’ from Akira Shigino, ‘Kid Cosmic’ from Craig McCracken, and ‘Trash Truck’ from Max Keane among others.
