7 October 2019, Monday : Amazon is coming up with a documentary, NEVER AGAIN IS NOW, which will be aired on
Amazon Prime US/UK from October 23rd. It will reveal the alarmingly nuanced portrait of
Right & Left wings and religious influences on rising discrimination against Jews in the US
and Europe.
NEVER AGAIN IS NOW is altogether an adventurous documentary, which intends to tell
the journey of an individual, who turned out to be an unlikely hero in the fight against rising
global discrimination against Jews. Born and raised in Holland by Holocaust survivors,
Evelyn Markus fled in the biggest mass departure of Jewish from Europe and migrated to
the US, as the Jews were being scolded, beaten up and being stabbed in Europe. The
military protection has become necessary for Jewish.
The creator is a Jew born and raised in the Netherlands, where her family history dates
back to 400 years. She grew up on 60s and 70s in Amsterdam. Till 2000, she had no idea
of antisemitism, until recently when Jews were being attacked violently on streets.
Being a psychologist, she is into consulting business, where she coaches people and
organisations in conflict resolution. Apart from this, she works as an activist against
antisemitism. This film just happened, as soon as she found a letter from her mother
describing the Holocaust experience and when producers approached her, who were
planning to make a film on the very same topic to warn the world of rising antisemitism.
This gave her a mission to raise awareness amongst people from the grassroots level
about rising antisemitism and find a solution to curb this issue, especially when no
significant solution has been founded yet. It’s not about Right or Left, but this is about
Right or Wrong. It could have been stopped back in 1940, but somehow we failed, That’s
why “Never Again Is Now”.
Born in Netherlands, Evelyn Markus has a Doctorate Degree in Psychology from Erasmus
University, Rotterdam, The Netherlands. She worked as a consultant in the field of de-
escalation of conflict and violence for 25 years and served as a member of an advisory
task force to Dutch Parliament from 2002-2004, on policies against domestic violence.
She co-founded the Dutch Non-Profit Organisation “Network on Antisemitism”, to urge the
and advise authorities auto take measures against the rising antisemitism. Occasionally,
her articles on antisemitism has been published in many leading newspapers in Dutch.
Do stream this dextrous documentary which revolves around the era of rising antisemitism,
